The Directing Apprentice (DA) will work closely with a directing team for an intensive, behind-the-scenes experience designed to support the performers and artistic team. DAs will gain skills in management, leadership, and collaboration as they become an integral member of the production team to help create theater with younger performers.
This position is ideal for anyone who is interested in mentoring younger students, learning the art of directing throughout a rehearsal process, and sharing their love of theatre with others.

To assist artistic team from start of the rehearsal process through performances
To collaborate with actors and directors for a unified vision of the production
To enhance leadership and mentorship skills
To lead small rehearsals in any discipline (choreography, music direction, etc.) as discussed and decided with team
To work in small groups to review choreography, blocking, lines, lyrics, etc. as needed
To assist with all stage management needs (attendance, blocking, tracking information, etc.) for rehearsals
To assist classroom teachers and learn the skill of lesson planning and classroom management
Work backstage during tech, dress and performances in a stage manager role
**Perform as a narrator in a guided experience with the actors (for 1st and 2nd grade DAs only)

The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition (3rd & 4th grade) -
All DAs will participate in a bi-monthly mentorship meeting with Programs Director, Laura Barron, where they will have the chance to gain insight and skills in working with younger students in theatre. Exact dates TBD.

The Props Apprentice (PA) will work alongside a professional props designer for our 3rd -6th grade musicals: Annie KIDS, Newsies JR, Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition or Matilda JR to get a full experience in helping design and execute the props component of a musical from beginning to end. Once in the technical phase of the rehearsal process, the PA will be backstage, overseeing all props needed for the performances. In addition to working with the Props Designers at Wolf PAC, the Props Apprentice will also have the opportunity to visit the technical rehearsal for Shrek: The Musical at Delaware Theatre Company to see how a professional production designs and manages props.
This position is ideal for anyone who has a passion for art, painting, and crafts and is curious about how these design elements are created and used in a theatre setting.

The Costume Apprentice (CA) will be paired with one of our costume designers to support any and all of our productions this fall at Wolf PAC. They will have a unique experience that will allow them to be involved in the process from initial vision to tech to execution of the project! In addition to working on the Wolf PAC productions, they will gain experience in sewing, building costumes from scratch, and altering clothing. They will also have the opportunity to visit the technical rehearsal for Shrek: The Musical at Delaware Theatre Company to see how a professional production designs and manages Costumes.
This position is ideal for someone who is interested in costuming and costume design and wants to learn more about the skill from various designers.

The Lighting and Sound Apprentice (LSA) will have the opportunity to work closely with Wolf PAC’s Lighting and Sound Designers. Leading up to the first production of the season, they will meet regularly with Wolf PAC’s technical staff and designers to learn how to design, program, and execute cues in both Lighting and Sound. They will be given the opportunity to run either Lights or Sound for one of the Wolf PAC productions in the fall.
They will also have the opportunity to visit the technical rehearsal for Shrek: The Musical at Delaware Theatre Company to see how a professional production designs and manages Lights and Sound.
This position is ideal for anyone interested in the technical elements of a performance and eager to learn the tools needed to run a light or sound board.

There is one LSA position for fall and one for spring.
The LSA will choose one show in fall or one show in spring with the help of Damien Figueras, Production Manager.

The Scenic Apprentice (SA) will work closely with the Scenic Department (Set Designer, Scenic Carpenter, Scenic Painter) on the shows at Wolf PAC. They’ll learn the skills of designing, building, and painting a set and get hands-on experience building the set pieces that will then be used in the Wolf PAC productions. Once we reach the technical rehearsals and performances, they’ll learn how the backstage operates and be given the opportunity to act as the stage crew for the performances for a Wolf PAC production. They will also have the opportunity to visit the technical rehearsal for Shrek: The Musical at Delaware Theatre Company to see how a professional production designs and manages Scenery.
This position is ideal for anyone interested in the technical skills needed to build and paint scenery.

This position will have the opportunity to work on the construction of all shows in the Fall and Spring, and work backstage on Newsies JR in the Fall and Matilda JR in the Spring.

As a Digital Media Apprentice, you’ll help our team share the magic of live theatre with our community. You’ll learn how to create engaging content for social media, capture photos and videos at lessons, classes, workshops, and rehearsals.
This position is a perfect opportunity for a creative high school student eager to learn the ins and outs of theatre marketing!

There is one DMA to help with the general season.
The DMA helps with the general season, coordinating with the Marketing Director about which programs they will specifically work on.

Applicants for this position must be available after school for 1-2 hours per week on varying days to be able to photograph/video as many programs as possible.

The Front of House Apprentice (FOHA) will work with various professional staff while diving into a dynamic role that blends customer service, hospitality, marketing and the thrill of live theatre. The FOHA will join the Front of House and Marketing team and be the welcoming face for incoming families and audiences. They will work with our marketing staff and several performance casts to take video and photos for social media, prepare items to help market the shows, and attend some performances to work in the lobby. The FOHA will also learn about Box Office and ticket sales and how to interact with volunteers, patrons, and cast members.

The FOHA helps with the general season, coordinating with Wolf PAC office staff about which shows they will specifically work on.

FOHA is not required to be at all performances for each show, but will work out a schedule that best fits their needs.
