Seeking college-aged and above theatre artists to work with a wide range of students (rising Kindergarten-rising 8th grade) as Directing Apprentices for summer theatre camp. Camp sessions are two weeks (with August 18-22 and 25-29 as one week sessions). Applicants need not have experience directing, choreographing, or musical directing but must have interest in working with children. Directing Apprentices split time between CUBS (rising K-2nd) and PAC (rising 3rd-8th) programs throughout the day. With the CUBS, staff members will gain active experience in classroom management, supervising activities such as Free Play Time and Arts & Crafts. PAC responsibilities include working with our professional directing teams on one of three productions from casting to performance, taking on a portion of the show to direct/teach and leading daily brush-up rehearsals with cast members.
Camp day runs from approximately 8:45am-4:15pm weekdays from Monday through Friday. Camp runs from June 16-August 29 (with the exception of June 30-July 4). This position is on-site at our location in Bryn Mawr. Pay is $15/hr with approximately 75 hours during the two-week session.
