  • Overview
    Wolf Performing Arts Center is a nonprofit children's theatre located in Bryn Mawr. We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate has a handyman-style skill set that can do tasks such as building, painting, maintaining basic machines such as window A/Cs and water fountains, basic mechanical and plumbing tasks, etc.

    We are renters so major structural, electrical, and plumbing is up to our landlords to complete. However, we are in charge of all basic tasks and need help maintaining and troubleshooting things in our building. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule who is willing to be on-call for repairs and needs in our building.

    The Facility Assistant would communicate with our Co-Executive Director and come in on an as-needed basis. This position could work up to 182 hours throughout the year, which runs from September 1, 2025-August 31, 2026. Some weeks may have no hours needed, others may have several depending on the current needs and projects. The work can be done on a somewhat flexible schedule and the pay is hourly. More details will be given in the interview.

    Basic responsibilities would include:

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems.

    • Provide support in painting, mounting, and other aesthetic improvements within the facility.

    • Monitor and upkeep building equipment such as air conditioners, lights, fire alarm batteries, water fountain, etc.

    • Build, fix and maintain building equipment relating to classroom and office materials, such as furniture, shelving units, etc.

    • Maintain and install front door equipment such as doorbells, cameras, locks, and doorhandles.

    • Build, paint, and install as needed.

    An ideal candidate has a flexible schedule and will be required to have all background clearances completed.

  • Seeking college-aged and above theatre artists to work with a wide range of students (rising Kindergarten-rising 8th grade) as Directing Apprentices for summer theatre camp. Camp sessions are two weeks (with August 18-22 and 25-29 as one week sessions). Applicants need not have experience directing, choreographing, or musical directing but must have interest in working with children. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn the ins and outs of being a teaching artist as college students or early-stage professionals.

    Directing Apprentices split time between CUBS (rising K-2nd) and PAC (rising 3rd-8th) programs throughout the day. With the CUBS, staff members will gain active experience in classroom management, supervising activities such as Free Play Time and Arts & Crafts. PAC responsibilities include working with our professional directing teams on one of three productions from casting to performance, taking on a portion of the show to direct/teach and leading daily brush-up rehearsals with cast members.

    Camp day runs from approximately 8:45am-4:15pm weekdays from Monday through Friday. Camp runs from June 16-August 29 (with the exception of June 30-July 4). This position is on-site at our location in Bryn Mawr. Pay is $15/hr with approximately 75 hours during the two-week session.

  • Seeking college-aged and above theatre artists to work with rising first and second graders as Assistant Directors for summer theatre camp. Program consists of one week sessions over the course of the summer. Applicants need not have experience directing, choreographing, or musical directing but must have experience working with children. 

    Our rising first and second grade program, known as the CUBS, spend their week putting together a scripted, ensemble-based performance of Wolf PAC's twist on a famous story, i.e. folk tale, fairy tale, literary work. The Assistant's responsibilities include supporting the Director in teaching the material, leading the Theatrical Design unit, and coordinating the performance's "Curtain Warmer" (pre-show warmup/game in front of the audience).

    Camp day runs from approximately 8:45am-4:15pm weekdays from Monday through Friday. Camp runs from June 16-August 29 (with the exception of June 30-July 4). This position is on-site at our location in Bryn Mawr. Pay is $15/hr with approximately 36 hours per week.
