Jael Brown
Private Lessons Instructor/Director
Jael Marie Brown is a local actor and director born and raised in Philadelphia. Theatre
has always been an integral part of Jael’s life. Growing up, she loved going to shows and
performing and that love soon took her on a lifelong pursuit of the arts, across stage and film.
Over the last decade, she has worked as a theatre educator and director for a number of
organizations, including Wolf Performing Arts Center, The Shipley School, Yes, And...Collaborative Arts, The Unscripted Project of Philadelphia, and EgoPo Classical Theatre.
As director for nearly 30 productions, Jael has endeavored to create a fun, inclusive, and
enriching environment for all involved. Some of her favorites include: The Three Musketeers, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Jr., She Kills Monsters, Seussical, and Song of Silence. She cannot wait to add more to that list!
When not directing, Jael can be found performing around the city and surrounding areas. As well, you can catch her with a brush belt around her waist, working as a freelance makeup artist across the tristate area. Some of Jael’s most cherished theatre credits as an actor include: Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show, Alex in This is What’s Left, Cadence Lane in A House with No Walls, The Counselor in IN: A Look at the World of Autism, Macy in The Cake, and Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing..
