Private Lessons

A leader in theatre & music education, Wolf Performing Arts Center’s one-on-one lessons combine professional teacher expertise with a customized plan of study just for you!

Our individualized lessons help our students gain confidence, reach personal goals, and enhance performance skills. Private lesson details are below:

  • Grades 1-12 and adult

  • On-site and online

  • Individualized curriculum to enhance performance skills

  • Year-round, Mondays through Saturdays on a rolling basis

  • Recitals in December and May for any student who chooses to participate

  • Students are matched with our professional teaching staff based on scheduling and personal goals

  • Private Lessons are offered to students in 1st grade through adult. We are happy to consider younger students on a case-by-case basis after discussion with parents. We do recommend that students already be reading if they want to begin acting lessons. Private lessons are for kids, teens, and adults, so we welcome anyone who wants to begin!

  • We welcome all students of all experience levels. Lessons are one-on-one, so it allows our professional instructors to create a curriculum that is specialized for each individual student to best fit their needs, goals, and interests.

  • We offer 2 different time lengths for students to choose from:

    30 minutes for $40

    1 hour for $70

  • Every person coming into lessons has different goals, so they are different for each individual. One person may want to become a better musical theatre singer, another may want to become a great tap dancer, and another student may want to learn how to embody a character as an actor, and the list goes on! Ultimately, lessons are personalized and goals are communicated between the student and teacher in order for each lesson to help build confidence, gain technique, and strengthen theatrical skills.

  • All Instructors for lessons have a variety of theater degrees and experience in their field. Our Instructors are experienced performers who have worked professionally in the theatre and/or music industry, and have experience teaching in their respective specialties.

  • Lessons help strengthen the skills used in rehearsals, as well as give students time to practice any areas that are challenging for them. It allows for the opportunity to strengthen and enhance skills that are being developed in the other program as well as explore areas of interest that may not be the focus of the other activity. Lessons serve as a wonderful compliment to other programming by allowing students the opportunity to take a deeper dive into their interests!

  • Private Lesson recitals take place twice a year in December and May. Recitals are optional for students, although we always encourage participation so that students can share their pieces with the community as well as practice the art of performance. Students will work with their teacher to choose a song, monologue, instrument, or dance piece to share with family and friends. Recitals are laid back, community-based, celebratory, and a great way to help students gain confidence and allow them to share the skills learned in lessons.

  • Lessons happen on a rolling basis so students can join at any time! We recommend signing up before the start of a session for best availability; however, we welcome students at any time that is convenient for them.

  • Lessons happen after school between 3:00-8:30pm as well as on weekend mornings.

  • Absolutely! Students can choose to take multiple types of lessons either back to back or at different times. There is also an option to do one longer combination lesson such as piano/singing, singing/dance, etc.

  • All lessons are held at our Wolf PAC facility at 1240 Montrose Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 and at Image 360 Mainline space at 1225 Montrose Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010

“I have watched my daughter at Wolf PAC since elementary school and cannot believe how much she has grown with her acting. Part of it may be her hard work, part of it may be her co-actors working side-by-side. But I believe a large part of that has been with your encouragement and teaching.  Wolf PAC is just such a special place.”
