Sarah Baumgarten

Sarah Baumgarten is an operatic and musical theatre performer, music director and teacher. Earning her M.M. in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the Peabody Institute, and B.M. in Voice Performance from Penn State University, she now freelances and maintains a private voice and piano studio in the Philadelphia area.  Sarah has performed at The Kimmel Center, Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Opera America, the Library of Congress, The Jewish Museum of Maryland and World Café Live. She has been featured with CoOPERAtive, On Site Opera, Annapolis Opera, OperaWorks, Minas, Garden State Opera and Delaware Valley Opera Company. Favorite roles include Musetta (La Bohéme); Monica (The Medium); Lucy (The Telephone); and Annunziata (La Giara). As a concert performer Sarah has produced and performed her solo and collaborative concerts: No One is Alone: The Jewish Tradition on Broadway, Jews to my Ears, and Finding Home to many appreciative audiences. She is thrilled to be joining the Wolf Performing Arts Center team as a music director and teaching artist this summer!
