Character Creators


Grades: K - 2nd

Days: Mondays 4:30-5:30pm

Dates: 9/18/17-12/11/17 (No class 10/9 and 11/20)

Learn to use your body and voice in this expressive character class! Through dramatic play and focused exercises, students will create characters from reality and fiction to develop their creativity and deepen their understanding of theatre.

Big Idea:

Dramatic and performance play is a way for me to learn about the world I live in and theatrically express the fantasy worlds I can imagine!


Skills learned: 

  • Demonstrate the ability to define objects, express emotions, illustrate an action or relate an experience through creation of works in the arts.
  • Recognize and use fundamental vocabulary within each of the arts forms.


Broadway Ensemble


Grades: K-2nd

Days: Thursday 4:30-5:30pm

Dates: 9/28/17-12/14/17 (No class 11/23)

Tuition: Non-Member - $355; Member - $340

Discover how your body moves and grooves with their creative musical theatre class. Students work together to create Broadway ensembles while learning to sing, dance, choreograph, and perform for an audience!

Big Idea:

Musical theatre allows me to apply my imagination on a bigger scale to perform with self-confidence, participate collaboratively, and learn with a group.

Skills Learned:

  • Recognize, know, use and demonstrate a variety of appropriate arts elements and principles to produce, review and revise original works in the arts
  • Dance: • move • perform • read and notate dance • create and choreograph • improvise
  • Respond to different types of music and dance through participation and discussion.


Music and Movement


Grades: K - 2nd

Days: Saturdays 10:00-11:00am

Dates: 9/23/17-12/16/17 (No class 9/30 and 11/25)

Tuition: Non-Member - $355; Member - $340

Come feel the rhythm and beat in this musical theatre class! Students will delve into different rhythms of music and dance through movement activities and songs. Group activities will allow students to develop an understanding of spatial awareness and music vocabulary.

Big Idea:

Music can be used to express and initiate emotional and physical responses from both the performer and the audience.

Skills learned:

  • Use imagination and creativity to perform music and dance.                         
  • Know and use basic elements and principles of music and movement
