Broadway Boot Camp (6th - 12th)

Experience Broadway like you never have before! This class takes students on an in-depth boot camp of musical theatre. Students will dive into vocal training and performance, movement and how to master that dance call, and acting and monologue technique. Students will study with instructors who specialize in all three disciplines of music, dance, and performance and come out better rounded triple threats who are ready for that next show. The class will culminate in a performance in our Black Box Theatre after the final class.

Big Idea:
An intensive workshop with various genres of musical theatre will widen my theatrical vocabulary and help me perform better. 

Skills Learned:

  • Learn more in-depth practices of musical theatre.
  • Learn about an intensive rehearsal process and auditions, in a workshop-like setting.
  • Creatively design musical theatre performances individually and as an ensemble.


Coffeeshop Cabaret

In this advanced musical theatre class, students will explore vocal techniques and what it means to perform a song. Students will be given a solo musical theatre piece to work on throughout the course. Through one-on-one coaching with the instructor and constructive feedback from the class, students will have a polished, performance-ready piece perfect for auditions, performances, and more. The class will culminate in a performance in our Black Box Theatre after the final class.

Big Idea:
How can I develop the skills I need to deliver a song in an honest and effective way as a musical theatre actor?

Skills learned:

  • Learn musical theatre stylings that suit your particular voice in a workshop, intensive setting.
  • Work one-on-one with a music director to enhance singing and performance ability.
  • Dive into rehearsal practices and work on solo performance in front of a group.
